A Safe Haven for Cats in Romania

62 cats. One sanctuary. A lifetime of care.

Welcome to Căsuța cu Pisici Ana & Hor, a private cat sanctuary in Hălchiu, Brașov County, Romania.

We are a small, independent animal welfare association dedicated to rescuing cats and providing them with a safe, stable and loving home for the rest of their lives.

We are not a traditional animal shelter. Our cats are not temporary residents waiting to be adopted. For many of them, this sanctuary is their forever home.

Every Cat Deserves a Safe Place to Live

Behind every rescued cat is a story. Some were abandoned, some were found living in dangerous conditions, and others had nowhere else to go.

Since 2018, I have been personally involved in rescuing and caring for cats. What started as an individual commitment has grown into a permanent sanctuary, now caring for 62 cats.

My name is Horațiu, and together with the support of kind people, I work every day to provide these animals with food, clean water, veterinary care, warmth and safety.

This is not a large organization with unlimited resources. It is a real sanctuary, built step by step through personal commitment, hard work and donations.

A Sanctuary, Not Just a Shelter

Our cats live in dedicated indoor spaces designed around their needs. We invest in insulation, air conditioning, ventilation, monitoring and security to keep them safe throughout the year.

Every improvement matters. Better facilities mean healthier, safer and more comfortable lives for the animals who depend entirely on us.

Our commitment does not end when a cat is rescued. It continues every single day.

Your Support Makes Their Lives Possible

Caring for 61 cats means ongoing expenses for food, litter, veterinary treatment, medication, utilities and maintenance.

These costs do not stop when a fundraising campaign ends.

We rely on donations from people who believe that animals deserve protection, dignity and lifelong care. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us continue this work.

€5 can help cover part of the daily care costs.
€10 can contribute towards food and essential supplies.
€20 can help with the ongoing costs of maintaining the sanctuary.
A monthly donation gives us something invaluable: the ability to plan ahead and provide consistent care.

These are illustrative contributions, not fixed prices or guaranteed equivalents. Every donation is used according to the sanctuary's actual needs.

Transparency and Responsibility

We believe that trust must be earned.

We publish information about our association, donations and expenses so that supporters can see how their contributions help the animals.

We do not promise miracles. We promise to keep working, to take responsibility and to use available resources for the animals in our care.

Become Part of Their Story

You do not have to live in Romania to make a difference.

You can support our sanctuary from anywhere in the world by making a donation, sharing our story or becoming a regular supporter.

For 62 cats, this place is home. Your support helps keep it that way.

Help us provide lifelong care for the cats who depend on us.

DONATE TO OUR SANCTUARY

Thank you for being here and for caring about animals who cannot ask for help themselves.
